More About Me

I've been working in this real estate business for over 30 years ... starting out part time and working full time for at least the last 25 years. From 2006 to 2010 I was assisting with managing an office with 100+ agents and a company with 3 locations and more than 170+ agents. Prior to 2006 I worked as a full time Broker doing listings and sales. Since September 1, 2010, our 3 Offices were merged into one Mega Office in Lynnwood and I returned to working as a full time selling Broker. At this time my son, Kurt Feldern, received his Real Estate License and he joined me in the business. Now he and I work together assisting our clients in their search for residential, multi-family and commercial real estate ventures. Kurt is enthusiastic about the business and handles our clients with the utmost care and concern.Prior to real estate I worked as a Direct Mail Advertising Manager for The Bon Marche in Seattle handling hundreds of direct mail pieces from conception to final product ... writing copy, working with Buyers and Artists and coordinating with printers. I still enjoy that type of creativity; therefore I produce newsletters, recruiting pieces, blogs and printed material for the company I work for now plus our own personal promotion pieces. My private / personal time is taken up donating my time and my creative talents for the Loyal Order of Moose Fraternity. I held a position on their International Communications Committee for 8 years which involved helping Lodges with their Communications ... newsletters, on line social networking, posters, pamphlets, banners, promotional pieces and news releases. I work for the local State Association doing the same thing, handling their communications to the Lodges, producing their quarterly newsletter, the convention programs and, lately, I've been asked to assist with their semi-annual conferences and conventions providing themes and ideas for fund raising activities. To me it's fun, sometimes stressful, but I meet a lot of people and enjoy the Fraternity and it gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that what I do can help children, the elderly and the local communities. It also keeps me very busy, and I like to keep busy.I try very hard to be a "good" person ... honest, ethical, respectful of people and their time and work hard for my clients to give them the very best of service and look out for their best interests. I can honestly say, in all the years I've been in this business, the majority of my clients appreciate what I do and how I do it. I love solving problems for people and knowing that I'm responsible for them being able to move forward with their lives; whether in a new house or by getting their property sold so they can move on. I believe I'm thoughtful, deliberate and do not do business in "crisis" mode. Most any problem can be solved by a thoughtful, cautious approach and working with other agents with respect and honesty. However, neither do I believe in delaying action or dragging situations out that can be solved easily. I've worked on deadlines my entire life and believe that people deserve quick answers to their concerns and questions and, where possible, I try to give them prompt and efficient service. Answering the phone personally and responding to an e-mail request in a timely manner, to me, is the essence of service and I try to be on top of that at all times.
